In The Ghost Park series, the artist takes photographs of animal statues in the park at night to investigate whether the represented images are real and attempting to create a paradoxical illusion. Using the large format camera, the artists made a two-hour exposure with a flashlight in the dark, with the technique of the Zone System and the “light painting” skill with moving light source to create an illuminous atmosphere. The artist also highlights postures and expressions of the animals from specific perspectives, trying to make the statues blended into the background and came to life. Therefore, the images enter an ambiguous state between reality and virtuality, allowing the viewers to experience the situations. In the process of viewing the images, the viewers will find a distance from their perception and will bring themselves back to the reality, creating a tension of cognitive reversal within an alienation.
