Before the performance, backstage preparations are underway, and the puppets are placed in their preparation positions. Each puppeteer has his own way of arranging the puppets, some lying on the table, others draped on twine, to facilitate quick and precise identification and donning of the puppets. The artist translates the backstage scenery into a kind of soulful puppetry through photography. Selecting several retired puppets from the Puppet Theater Museum's archives with a history of nearly 100 years, the artist re-interprets them, allowing the puppets to recreate the scene before a performance, and through the use of light and shadow and posing, the puppets evoke the emotions, and photography infuses the puppets with souls in the images.
